HERO A — Hero Armor

Bazilik Media reports that the independent Ukrainian art project HERO ARMOR will be presented at Burning Man 2026. The outlet says it combines an art installation dedicated to Ukrainian defenders with cooperation with the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center. The text closely follows the project's press materials and quotes its press service.

According to the article, the idea arose after Burning Man 2025, when founder Liza Kormilets left a photograph of her cousin, 3D artist Zakhar Zakharov, at the Temple, together with his pre-war digital image of a futuristic warrior. His childhood friend spotted the photo among thousands and got in touch with her. Bazilik notes that Kormilets had no experience with large installations, no team and no plan at the time. Her friend Marcel was first to join by offering to print parts on his 3D printer; her father and brother later helped with spatial solutions and the first 3D models.

The sculpture recreates Zakharov's defender in blue and yellow, which the authors call an inner armor. The festival theme is Axis Mundi and Burning Man marks its 40th anniversary. The piece also describes the Rescue Now Foundation as charitable partner organizing an official fundraising campaign and signing a memorandum with the Unbroken charity foundation.
