Проєкт HERO ARMOR представить Україну на Burning Man 2026
BIT.UA reports that the Ukrainian art project HERO ARMOR will be presented at the Burning Man contemporary art festival, which marks its 40th anniversary this year. According to the outlet, the installation is being made in partnership with the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center.
The article says the project rests on the story of Ukrainian 3D artist and serviceman Zakhar Zakharov, who volunteered to defend Ukraine. Its trigger was an event at Burning Man 2025: founder and lead artist Liza Kormilets left a photograph of her cousin at the Temple. Among thousands of pictures, a childhood friend of Zakharov happened to see it; he had not known what had happened to him.
After returning from the festival, Kormilets decided to carry the story into an art project. BIT.UA says the basis of the installation is a digital image of a futuristic warrior that Zakharov created before the full-scale invasion. The authors dedicate HERO ARMOR to Ukrainians lost in the war and aim to draw international attention to their stories. The article adds that the project also supports a joint initiative with UNBROKEN to help people recovering from injuries. The piece is short and mentions no technical details of the sculpture.
