На Burning Man 2026 представлять український мистецький проєкт Hero Armor
According to Ukrainska Pravda. Zhyttia (UP.Culture), which says it received the information from the project team, Hero Armor will be presented at Burning Man 2026 as a symbolic sculpture about memory, inner strength and the ability to carry forward the stories of those who are no longer with us.
The outlet says organizers describe it as an independent Ukrainian project by a team from Ukraine, the Netherlands and the United States. It is dedicated to Ukrainians who stood up to defend their country and also speaks about the support that lets a personal idea grow into a shared initiative.
The story began with founder Liza Kormilets. In 2025 she took a photograph of her cousin, 3D artist Zakhar Zakharov, who volunteered in the first days of the full-scale invasion and did not return, to the festival's Temple, together with one of his pre-war digital works, an image of a futuristic warrior. Her friend Marcel offered to print parts of the sculpture on his own 3D printer, and her father and brother joined later.
The piece describes a futuristic defender in blue and yellow bound for Black Rock City, Nevada, under the 2026 theme Axis Mundi. It also notes the team's cooperation with the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center in Lviv. (Text read from an archived copy of the page; the live site blocks automated access.)
«Скульптура розповідає про тих, хто продовжує їхню справу та зберігає пам'ять про них, а також про силу підтримки, що допомагає особистій ідеї перерости у спільну ініціативу.»— Українська правда. Життя
«Почувши історію Лізи після її повернення з Burning Man, її друг Марсель запропонував надрукувати елементи майбутньої скульптури на власному 3D-принтері.»— Українська правда. Життя
